The Open Preservation Foundation (OPF) and the Nationale Coalitie Digitale Duurzaamheid (NCDD) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to build a collaborative partnership to address digital preservation.
Signed by Joachim Jung, Executive Director of the OPF, and Marcel Ras, Executive Director of the NCDD, the MOU sets out how the two organisations will work together. It facilitates the OPF and NCDD to share planning documentation, to co-operate on educational activities and to work together to further digital preservation software sustainability.
Marcel Ras, Program Manager, NCDD says: “The NCDD and OPF share many of the same goals – to ensure long term access to digital files across different sectors. Collaboration is a key part of achieving this. The memorandum of understanding with OPF is an important step forward for international collaboration.”
Joachim Jung, Executive Director, OPF says: “The partnership with the NCDD underpins our commitment to expand the sustainability of digital preservation knowledge and software. We are looking forward to working with the NCDD and bringing new value to our respective memberships and the wider community.”
