Save the date! iPRES is a series of conferences on digital preservation. Since 2004, iPRES conferences have been held on four continents. iPRES is the only international forum devoted to digital preservation. It brings together 300-400 scientists, students, researchers, librarians, archivists and other experts to share recent developments, innovative projects and to collaboratively solve problems. iPres 2018 will be co-hosted by Harvard Library & MIT Libraries.
This one-day conference focuses on grey literature, repositories, data management, open access and legal issues. The conference will also be extended with a half-day workshop on data papers. The call for papers is open now. Interested speakers are invited to submit their proposals. All proposals will be validated by the Programme Committee. The submission deadline is May 14. Web archiving is now into its third decade of practice and there is much experience to reflect upon and many achievements to acknowledge. It is also a critical time to look to the future and to the technical, legal, ethical and organisational challenges that saving the web for citizens and for researchers continue to present.
