The call for members to nominate themselves to join the OPF Board of Directors is now open. There are currently three positions available.
Why join our board?
We are seeking candidates who are keen to contribute to the community and be actively involved in steering OPF’s activities. Joining our board is an opportunity to:
- Be at the heart of the organisation
- Make strategic decisions and influence the future of OPF
- Expand your network and develop new skills
- Ensure your organisation’s priorities are OPF’s priorities
“Being involved in the OPF Board of Directors gives institutions the unique opportunity to help shape the strategic direction of the organization. Where do we see OPF in 5 years? What role does open versus membership benefits play? What tools are important to maintain for the long term? All those – and more – are issues the Board discusses!”
Micky Lindlar, Technische Informationsbibliothek
OPF Board member since 2012
The OPF is a professional organization that takes care of product lifecycle management for important tools in preservation, and that supports community building by knowledge sharing and training. Being one of the directors in the OPF Board I am able to strategically guide this organization and make sure priority is given to those aspects which are important for our members and the wider community. It is also a nice way to contribute to this valuable organization and getting in touch with peers in the community.
Jeffrey van der Hoeven, National Library of the Netherlands
OPF Board member since 2020
